Ken Skovron from Darien Cheese and Fine Foods will lead attendees through a selection of eight cheeses with a variety of textures and flavors, including recommendations for the holidays at the Darien Community Association (DCA) on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m.

Megan Ruppenstein of Four Forks will prepare the accompaniment; what is described as “her delicious seasonal salad” of arugula, figs, roasted delicata squash and toasted pecans, with an orange cinnamon vinaigrette. A white and red wine tasting, as well as sparkling cider, completes the experience. Wine will be supplied by Wineport of Darien.

This event is $75 per person, or $60 for DCA members. Prepayment is required by noon on Tuesday, Oct. 30, and can be made at dariendca.org, or by contacting the DCA at 203-655-9050, ext. 10.
