Connecticut will receive $1.8 million in a settlement with Johnson & Johnson and subsidiary Depuy over artificial hip implants the companies sold, part of a $120 million pact in 45 states led by Texas and South Carolina.

According to the office of Connecticut Attorney General William Tong, Johnson & Johnson and Depuy made misleading claims on the durability of ASR XL and Pinnacle Ultamet hip replacement implants, with the ASR XL undergoing a 2010 recall and Depuy discontinuing Pinnacle Ultamet sales in 2013.; 203-842-2545; @casoulman
