3 p.m. — The state Department of Transportation reports I-95 southbound in Darien has reopened after the clearing of a jackknifed tractor trailer.

2:40 p.m. — A pile up on I-95 southbound in Darien between exits 9 and 10 appears to have shut the highway down.

Traffic appears to be filing through the rest area to get through. The Department of Transportation is reporting a tractor trailer accident that from the state's camera has several vehicles piled up  behind it.

A wrecker appears to be on the scene.

Residents are cautioned to stay off snowy and icy roads by town and state officials. Darien Police said they have not responded to the accident.

The DOT is also reporting a jackknifed tractor trailer northbound in Greenwich between exits 2 and 3 closing the right and center lanes.
