Public information discussion to be held on Darien's Noroton Heights train station area study
A public information meeting for the Noroton Heights Station area study will be held on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m. at the Mather Center cafeteria extension at 2 Renshaw Road.
Darien residents, businesses, commuters and other local stakeholders are encouraged to attend this meeting for an update on the study and to provide input on potential improvements around the Noroton Heights Station study area.

This event will provide citizens an opportunity to talk with members of the project team including Town of Darien representatives, WestCOG, as well as planners from the NV5 consultant team. The project team will share an update on the study, and attendees will be encouraged to participate in a discussion on recommendations for the study area.
Community participation is a key component of the Noroton Heights Station Area Study as it will help focus the study efforts and shape recommendations and strategies for the future of transportation around the Noroton Heights Station Area.
The study area is approximately half of a mile around the Noroton Heights train station.
The purpose of this study is to develop recommendations to enhance:
• Mobility, accessibility and safety
• Station area parking
• Traffic operations
• Pedestrian and bicycle environment
