Maximo and Daisey Roman Perez of Trumbull have announced the engagement of their daughter, Daisey Elizabeth Perez, to Derek Stephen Sellhausen, son of Stephen R. and Denise A. Sellhausen of Darien.
The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of St. Luke’s School, New Canaan, and a 2012 graduate of Wesleyan University, with a bachelor’s degree College of Letters. Daisey was also Wesleyan Class of 2012 representative and earned a 2014 master’s degree from Relay Graduate School of education while working for Teach for America New York Corp Member, Achievement First charter school in Brooklyn. Daisey is currently working as a HR Coordinator at Bridgewater Associates in Westport.
The groom-to-be graduated in 2008 from St. Luke’s School, New Canaan, Derek is also a graduate of Skidmore College in 2012 with a business finance major and a minor in government. Derek was a member of the Skidmore men’s lacrosse team. He is presently vice president, ETF Trading Solutions for WallachBeth Capital, New York. Derek also participates in philanthropic events with WallachBeth, most recently with the Warrior Project and Hoops for Humanity.
Derek proposed to Daisey Christmas Eve at the Darien Land Trust historic Mather fields. A wedding date is being planned
