Weather: Perfect summer day and night for Darien’s fireworks Saturday

After a tough few days weather wise including stifling heat and intense storms, Saturday’s weather couldn’t be more picture perfect for this evening’s Independence Day fireworks at Darien High School.
Currently, the temperature is about 70 degrees and sunny. The high today is expected to be 77. Tonight should be clear for fireworks viewing and a low of about 60.
The fireworks gates open at 6:30 at Darien High School. The Community Band begins at 7 p.m. and Lackluster Brother is playing at 8 p.m. The fireworks are expected to start at 9. There will be various food trucks on the scene for those who want to make it a dinner event.
A parking pass is required to park at Darien High School and they will not be sold on site – the last day to buy passes was Friday. If you missed your chance, fear not — you can still park off campus and walk in. Off-campus parking lots within one mile of DHS campus include Middlesex Middle School and McGuane Field.
