Now in its fourth season, the Darien Junior Cheerleading League is gearing up to bring its spirit and talent to root for the outstanding teams in the Darien Junior Football League this fall.
The program provides sideline cheering, stunts, and amazing halftime routines during DJFL games.
Darien girls entering grades 2 through 8 can register for the program at www.DJFL.org. Detailed information regarding the overall program can also be found on the website under the Cheerleading tab. The registration fee will increase on June 17.
With the overall objective of developing an understanding of teamwork, community spirit and providing a solid foundation for cheerleading at the high school level, girls learn and master basic cheerleading skills and enhance the overall football game experience for players, coaches, fans and the individual cheer squads.
The DJCL recognizes that many participants are involved in multiple fall sports and activities, and is diligent with coordinating with other programs to schedule games while minimizing schedule conflicts.
