Last June family concert at Weed Beach this Wednesday — preceded by annual sand castle contest

Darien  Youth Commission’s last Wednesday concert is Les Julian on June 26. The family concerts have taken place on Wednesdays in June, these events promise to be fun for the whole family, whether you pack a picnic dinner or buy dinner at “Uncle’s By the Shore.”  Show time is 6:30 for all concerts. The cost (per concert) is $4 per person or $10 per family. (Beach stickers are not required to attend these events; glass containers are not permitted on the beach.)

On June 26, the concert will be preceded by the annual sand castle building contest! The contest is free and begins at 4 p.m.

On Friday, June 28, the Youth Commission/Parks & Recreation Department will be sponsoring their annual movie at the beach (Film to be announced). Showtime is dusk (@ 8:30). This event is free; beach stickers are not required to attend this event.
