The Darien girls lacrosse team is the No. 2 seed in the Class L tournament and will host a first-round game on Tuesday, May 28.

The Blue Wave (17-2) will face the winner of Saturday’s playdown game between No. 15 Amity (9-7) and No. 18 Southington (8-8).

With a win, the Wave would advance to the quarterfinals and host either No. 7 Ludlowe or No. 110 Conard on Thursday, May 30.

The New Canaan Rams are the No. 4 seed and are on the opposite side of the bracket, meaning if both they and Darien advance, they would not meet again until the Class L final.

New Canaan is hosting a first-round game against either No. 13 Trumbull or No. 20 Warde.

The Class L semifinals will be held on Monday, June 3, with the finals scheduled for Saturday, June 8 at Jonathan Law High School.
