Bike stolen from Darien train station bike rack

A train passenger told Darien Police his bicycle was stolen from the westbound platform bike-rack of the Darien train station on March 14. The complainant had locked their bicycle to the rack at approximately 8:30 a.m. the day before , and had arrived 1:20 a.m. to find both the bike and lock missing. The complainant valued the bicycle at $850.

A review of the camera footage from the station surveillance shows that at approximately 4:15, a man is observed manipulating the lock on the complainant’s bike and subsequently riding it away. The bike was entered into the online law enforcement system as stolen.
