The following letter was addressed to state Rep. Terrie Wood’s constituents in the 141st District. It is printed here at the author’s request.
To the Editor:
I’m honored to return to Hartford as your state representative and deeply appreciate the strong support I received from across the political spectrum. I’ll continue to advocate for common sense legislation on your behalf and support economic policies that will bring prosperity back to our wonderful state.
My motto this campaign season was “Let’s Work Together, Now More Than Ever” and that will be my motto moving forward. I’m proud to continue working with many colleagues on both sides of the aisle. It’s the only way to fly.
Thank you to campaign team, Spike Reed, Jennifer Hill, Nancy Sheed, Bob Eydt, Christine Lajaunie and Taylor Carter. I valued their time, talent and always good perspective and humor.
Thank you to everyone who supported my campaign with letters, yard signs, door knocking, sending encouraging emails and posts. I couldn’t have done it without you.
Will look forward to welcoming and working with the newest legislator to represent Darien, Matt Blumenthal. He worked hard to win the seat and I’m sure will be a fair and reasoned voice for all the people in the 147th District.
As always, please stay in touch and best wishes to all for a Happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you again and warm regards.
