Residents are invited to meet the co-chairmen of the Commission on Fiscal Stability and Economic Growth (FSEG), Robert Patricelli and James Smith, who will be discussing the results of their work and answering questions.
The event will be on Monday, Oct. 15, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Darien Library.
The commission was established through the Connecticut state budget that passed in October 2017. This non-partisan group is made up of business owners and other stakeholders tasked with identifying key strengths and challenges as a state. The result of their work is a viable plan to set the state on what the commission calls a path to fiscal stability and prosperity. Patricelli is founder and CEO of several healthcare companies in Connecticut and Smith is chairman emeritus of Webster Bank, and there are 12 other commission members.
