U.S. Senator Chris Murphy endorsed Democrat Matt Blumenthal for state representative last weekend in Stamford. Blumenthal is the Democratic candidate running for state rep of 147th District, which includes neighborhoods in Stamford and Darien. Blumenthal is running for the office vacated by William Tong, who is running for the state’s attorney general.
“I’m proud to endorse Matt Blumenthal for state representative for the 147th District, because I know he will stand up for Connecticut families,” said Murphy.
Blumenthal, a veteran, trial attorney and community volunteer, has earned a reputation for fighting for others. As an attorney, Blumenthal represents people who are victims of negligence, misconduct, and violations of their civil rights. He also serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Stamford.
He is running against Stamford Republican Anzelmo Graziosi.
