Tuesday last day to register for Darien’s Got Talent at Darien Arts Center

Last year’s finalists. Darien’s Got Talent, the Darien Art Center’s popular talent contest returns on June 23. The fund-raising event for the DAC features prizes for adults and children, and accomplished entertainment professionals as judges for the auditions and finals.

The Darien Arts Center is welcoming all ages to register to audition for its popular talent competition.

The Darien Arts Center is accepting registrations to audition for Darien’s Got Talent from April 9 through an extended deadline of May 15 at darienarts.org. The  talent contest returns on June 23. The fundraising event for the DAC features prizes for adults and children, and accomplished entertainment industry professionals as judges for the auditions and finals. 20 finalists will compete for top prizes in front of a live audience at Darien High School. Auditions for the competition are open to all ages and contestants are not required to live in Darien.

Contestants can enter alone or as part of a group, to sing, dance, play an instrument or perform any other talent in the competition. Acapella groups, garage bands and dance ensembles are welcome. Auditions will be held on May 19 and 20 in the DAC Weatherstone Studio.

Prizes will be awarded for the top three adult and top three children winners, for a total of six prizes awarded. Prizes include: Adults first place $1,000, second place $750, and third place $500, Children’s first  Place $750, second Place $500, and third Place $250. Registration fee is $35.
