The Beautification Commission is holding its annual town clean up on Saturday, April 21, from 8 to 11 a.m. All ages are welcome. Community service hours will be awarded for students. More info or RSVP to email@example.com or 203-505-5435.
Darien Nature Center will hold a post-clean up celebration on Saturday, April 21, from 12 to 2 p.m. in the center and outside at Cherry Lawn Park. The after-party will include food, prizes, a scavenger hunt, photo contest, and more. Pre-register for this free event at dariennaturecenter.org.
On Saturday, April 21, from 10 to 3 p.m. Save the Sound will have restoration experts near the outlet of the Noroton River to answer questions about the new river fishway. Visitors may even see some fish returning upstream for the very first time. Parking is available at Boatyard at Smokey Joe’s BBQ, 1308 East Main Street, in Stamford.
The Darien Land Trust is holding its annual spring trail fix day: two hours of clean-up, repairing trails, and spreading wood chips on Sunday, April 22, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., at Dunlap/Selleck’s Woods in Darien.
