Water polo goalie Lizzy Bradley recently signed her national letter of intent to attend Loyola Marymount University.
Bradley can stay afloat and make the save, but she’s not tread any water in achieving her goal.
She’s been striving to play D1 water polo in California since before reaching high school.
The day for that to arrive is now marked on her calendar.
Bradley’s played club water polo with Greenwich Aquatics, and honed her fundamental in the pool — swimming — with the Blue Wave, her four years at Darien High.
The extra competitive swimming helped her break through as an East Coast athlete in a West Coast heavy sport.
Bradley first found she liked water polo playing in a summer club and before she knew it, she’d been selected several times to national selection camps for the Olympic Team.
All the while Bradley swam hard with the Wave, a part of its surprise second place finish at states.
