The Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut (CGC) will host their annual fund-raiser gala, A Derby Affair on Saturday, May 6, from 5:30-10:30 p.m., at the Wee Burn Beach Club in Rowayton. The nonprofit agency aims to improve the mental and behavioral health of children, from birth to 18, in Stamford, Greenwich, Darien and New Canaan.
During this Kentucky Derby themed gala, CGC will recognize a local foundation with the inaugural Distinguished Public Service Award. The event will include a live television viewing of the Kentucky Derby, a 50/50 raffle, a cocktail reception, dinner, dancing, and the chance to participate in silent and live auctions. All proceeds will support CGC’s work in helping all children access high quality mental health services.
“Every dollar raised the night of our gala will ensure that our community’s highest risk children receive the best possible mental health services” said CGC’s president and CEO, Eliot Brenner, PhD. “This event is also a way for us to celebrate the agency’s successes with our supporters, and an opportunity to educate attendees about the critical need for children’s mental health services in our community.”
Tickets are now available for purchase. For sponsorship opportunities, contact Jeannine Egdorf at firstname.lastname@example.org.
