Darien Social will host a final going away party before closing its doors on April 2. The restaurant and bar located at 10 Center Street announced the party via its Facebook page on Tuesday. The evening will offer drink specials beginning at 5 p.m. with live music starting at 9 p.m. A message on the eatery’s website thanked customers for their support during the last five years. The eatery has been serving lunch and dinner in downtown Darien since January 2012.
Darien Social has been the home to a number of community fundraisers and events during its time. Last night the restaurant let the coaches of Darien High School’s athletic teams work as waiters in an effort to raise funds for the permanent lights at the high school.
