Obituary: Edward M. King II, former Darien resident

Edward M. King II a resident of Bradenton, Florida and former longtime Darien resident passed away on Friday, Aug. 14. He was born on Aug. 24, 1934 in New York City to the late Edward M. and Mary B King. He was 80.

Mr. King attended New York University where he graduated and received a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He was then a health care consultant. He was also involved with the Employee Assistance Professional Association.

Mr. King is survived by his wife Betty L. King, three sons Edward M. King III of Stamford CT, James B. King of Yelm, WA and Charles H. King of Windsor CT. He is also survived by five grandchildren Edward IV, Melissa, James II, Elizabeth and Sam King and one great grandchild James III.

A visitation will be held at the Lawrence Funeral Home 2119 Post Road, Darien on Tuesday August 25, 2015 from 10 to 11, with a service to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Mather Cemetery in Darien. www.lawrencefuneralhome.com.
