David Newell Beede Sr. owner of Noroton Painting & Decorating

David Newell Beede Sr., son of the late Arnold and Alice Newell Beede of Stamford, died on June 27 in Bolivia, North Carolina.

Mr. Beede Sr. is survived by three children; Kimberly Thomas of Fairfield, Laura Brown of Riegelsville, Pennsylvania and David Beede Jr. of Tampa, Florida. He was the grandfather of six grandsons and two granddaughters. He leaves a sister, Marilyn Beede of Stamford, a former wife, Sheila Beede of Darien, and multiple relatives residing in New Hampshire. He was also the father of the late Cheryl Beede.

Mr. Beede Sr. has been referred to as a “Renaissance Man”, a man of many talents, gifts and interests, his family said. He enjoyed real estate, travel, art, tennis, paddle tennis, sailing, skiing, and golfing. He was also passionate for fine automobiles and partook in flying small aircraft.

After various business endeavors, he took pride in ownership of a LLC established in Darien, Ct. called Noroton Painting & Decorating.

A private family service will be held.
