Frederic R. Lexow II died on Sept. 22 after a courageous battle with recurring staph infections. He was 49.
Born in Stamford and raised in Darien, Mr. Lexow had been a resident of Westport for over 20 years. He graduated from Tabor Academy in Marion, Mass. in 1982, received his B.A. from Tulane University in 1986 where he was also a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He later received his master’s in business administration from Fordham University in 1993. Mr. Lexow spent his entire twenty-plus career at J.P. Morgan Asset Mangement; New York, serving as a managing director and the former head of equity trading.
It gave Mr. Lexow great joy to spend time with his beloved family and friends, they said. An avid New York Yankees and Giants fan, he had a passion for boating, and jokingly referred to himself as a summer resident of Norwalk Cove Marina’s B dock. Mr. Lexow loved golf and was a member of Shorehaven Golf Club, as well as a former regular rider of the 523 Club from Grand Central.
Mr. Lexow gladly gave both his time and talents to many organizations and charitable causes, serving as a longtime member of the Noroton Volunteer Fire Department as well as to Al’s Angel’s, a local organization which assists families of ill children.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Nanette Buziak Lexow, a daughter, Sylvie Sutton Lexow; his parents, Eric and Jody Baldwin Lexow, of Jamestown, R.I. (formerly of Darien); two sisters, Sarah Lexow Keena, and her husband, John, of Darien, Amy Lexow, of Jamestown; his parents-in-law, Frank and Phyllis Buziak, of Beach Haven Gardens, N.J.; his sister-in-law, Jenelle Purpura, and her husband, Brian, of Florham Park, N.J.; nieces and nephews, Lauren and Henry, Campbell and Oliver, Jack, Elle, and Peyton; Sylvie’s mother, Karen Sutton Lexow, of Westport; and many dear, close and loyal friends.
