Helmet decal commemorates Kevin Murphy

The Blue Wave boys’ lacrosse team is commemorating Kevin Murphy.

Murphy, who died recently as a result of an accident at the Noroton Heights train station, was the dad of Tim Murphy, who was a prominent player with the Wave, graduating last year.

Wave boys’ lax players are wearing a decal with “KM” on the side of their helmets this season to honor Murphy’s memory.


Darien is wearing the “KM” decal to commemorate Kevin Murphy.

Tim Murphy was also a standout diver for the Wave.

His big sister and Kevin’s eldest, daughter Cameron Murphy, was a champion diver for the Wave girls’ swim-dive team mid last decade.
