Both the Darien High School boys and girls lacrosse teams are to have their first joint fundraiser March 15 at Wee Burn Country Club.

Celebrating a long tradition of excellence, it promises to be the biggest lacrosse event ever in Darien, and is open to everyone in the Darien lacrosse community.

It will feature a select wine and beer tasting highlighted by guest speakers from each of the first Blue Wave boys and girls lacrosse teams.

Led by coaches Lisa Lindley and Jeff Brameier, the programs have won a combined total of 20 State Championships and 23 FCIAC Championships.

This success has its roots in the longstanding tradition of excellence that begins with the foundation of the Darien Youth Lacrosse program as well as DHS lacrosse parents and alumni.

All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The support of the entire Darien lacrosse community is essential to the continued achievement of lacrosse in Darien, programs emphasize.
