Darien Police arrest Shelton man for two home burglaries

At one home, police say a young girl and her father scared him away before he stole anything

Darien Police made its second arrest regarding two residential burglaries that happened in October. Conner Buckley, 21, of Shelton, was arrested by warrant at Stamford Superior court. Buckley was charged for burglary of a Mystic Lane residence, as well as breaking into a home on Scout Trail, although the homeowner and his 10-year-old daughter scared him away, according to police.

On December 5, police arrested Eammon Donnelly who had acted with Buckley, police said. Silverware and jewelry were taken from the home.

Buckley was also charged with the October 12 burglary of a residence on Scout Trail. In that incident the house was entered while homeowner and his daughter were at home. Nothing was taken during the burglary, and police said that the presence of the homeowner and his daughter scared off the suspects.

Buckley was charged with third degree conspiracy to burglary, third-degree burglary, third-degree larceny, third degree conspiracy to burglary and second degree burglary. Buckley, who was already incarcerated for burglaries in other towns, was held on a $5,000 bond and appeared in court Thursday, Dec. 27.
