Lanes to close on I-95 this week due to bridge work

Traffic could be a bit worse in Norwalk for the next week, as the state Department of Transportation begins a bridge maintenance project will be performed on both sides of I-95.

The project consists of joint and crack sealing on the I-95 bridge over Crescent Street and Metro North Railroad in Norwalk. Drivers can expect lane closures on I-95 Northbound and Southbound between Exit 13 (Route 1) and Exit 16 (East Avenue). This project started Tuesday, Nov. 13, and is expected to continue until the morning of Saturday, Nov. 17.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be used to guide drivers through the work zone from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Tuesday through Friday evenings.

Drivers are asked to be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Check back with for more information as it becomes available.
