An up and down regular season ended with the Wave rising to the occasion to make states, beating Ludlowe 9-1 at home on Thursday.

Boys Lacrosse

First place Darien closed out its undefeated regular season in the FCIAC beating Stamford away 18-2 Wednesday.

The Wave, beginning the league playoffs hosting No. 8 Norwalk 4 p.m. Saturday as defending champs, climbs to 11-0 FCIAC and is 15-1 overall.
