Obituary: Margaret E. Vosgerau Risola, 85, worked in Darien tax collector’s office

Margaret E. Vosgerau Risola, a longtime Darien resident who worked in the tax collector's office at Town Hall, died Saturday, Dec. 31, at her home in Orange, Calif., surrounded by family. She was 85.

Mrs. Risola was born May 28, 1926, to the late Arnold and Elizabeth Vosgerau. She was a resident of Stamford for 25 years, and Darien for 46 years before moving to Orange 14 years ago.

She worked for the Darien tax collector's office for 15 years before retiring. " She is very sadly missed," her family said.

Mrs. Risola was predeceased by her husband, Angelo Risola.

She is survived by her six children: Michael of Gilbert, Ariz., Sharon of Orange, Calif., Nancie of Merritt Island, Fla., John of Laguna Niguel, Calif., Christopher of Boca Raton, Fla., and Angela of Orange, Calif.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
