Obituary: Emily Clow Condo Mother, community volunteer

Emily Clow Condo, a resident of Darien from 1989 to 2005, died on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at her home in Lake Forest, IL. She was 59.

Born in Lake Forest on Nov. 2, 1952, Emily graduated from Lake Forest Country Day School in 1966, Garrison Forest School in Owings Mills, MD in 1970 and Lake Forest College in 1974. In addition to raising two children, Emily was active with many charitable organizations in the community including First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, Reading Power among others.

She is survived by two children, Elizabeth Dixon Condo of New York, NY and Allison Brink Condo of San Mateo, CA; her brother Kent Sarver Clow III of Sheffield, MA; and her sister Katherine “Taddy” Clow Opat of Lake Forest, IL. A memorial service was held at The First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, 700 on Saturday, Dec. 3. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest “Stephen Ministry and Pastoral Care,” 700 North Sheridan Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045 or Peter White Public Library 217 N. Front St., Marquette, MI 49855.
