Obituary: Evelyn Nicholson Henry, 103, longtime Darien resident

Evelyn Nicholson Henry, a longtime Darien resident, died at Norwalk Hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 23. Mrs. Henry, 103, was the wife of the late Harrison S. Henry.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry lived in Darien for many years and were active members of the Wee Burn Country Club. Upon Mr. Henry's retirement they moved to New Canaan and Delray Beach, Fla.

Mrs. Henry returned to Darien and was a resident of Atria before her death.

She is survived by her daughters, Maryann von Dwingelo of New Canaan, Bettyann Murphy and her husband Peter of Davidson, N.C., and Sallyann Henry of New York City and Lakeville, Conn; seven grandchildren, Mark and his wife Gretchen von Dwingelo of Redding, Gail von Dwingelo and her husband Richard Regan of Redding, Wendy Lynch and her husband Craig of New Canaan, Chris von Dwingelo and his wife Michelle of Snellville, Ga., Cindy Murphy of Portsmouth, N.H., Jill Lazusky of Pinehurst, N.C., and Douglas Murphy and his wife Tracey of New Canaan; 14 great-grandchildren, Courtney and Harrison von Dwingelo and Cassidy, Brenna and Connor Regan of Redding, Kelley, Tim and Troy Lynch of New Canaan, Christian, Faith and Matthew von Dwingelo of Snellville, Ga., Peter and Jeffrey Murphy of New Canaan and Heather Lazusky of Pinehurst, N.C.

A Memorial Service was held on Friday, Nov. 25, in New Canaan. Burial was private.
