Darien Cops & Kids start their adventure

The Cops & Kids Adventures group completed its first adventure at the SoNo Fieldhouse in Norwalk on Saturday, Jan. 14.

The group, consisting of 12 Darien kids and eight Darien Police officers, experienced the "high ropes course," which is provided by the SoNo Fieldhouse staff as a team building event.

The officers and kids had to work together to navigate the challenging high ropes course in a safe and cooperative manner, thereby developing trust and responsibility for the entire group.

The event was enjoyable and exciting for both the cops and the kids, police officers said. The group is now planning for its next community project and adventure.

The funding for this Cops & Kids Adventures program was provided by a state grant through Connecticut's Office of Policy & Management, Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee.
