Tech Moms host discussion at Darien Library

The power of the Internet can provide unlimited options for beginning businesses, keeping in touch with long-distance relatives and forming new networks for even the busiest of people. On Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 9:30 a.m., Darien Library will host a panel discussion for parents called Tech Moms.

The panel features four Darien-based women who have harnessed the power of the Internet, launching successful online ventures, all while raising their children. Panelists include: Nicole Lyons, who operates AllAboutDarien.com; Jacquie Miller, the woman behind AfterWordsBlog.com; and Jennifer St. Jean, founder and designer at IttyBittyBag.com.

The panel will be moderated by Lisa Adams, a writer whose site, LisaBAdams.com. During the panel, they will discuss all aspects of maintaining an online presence while caring for their families. From Twitter, to Etsy, Facebook and everything in between, the Tech Moms have insights about every aspect of creating and maintaining an online presence — and they're ready to share.

The Tech Moms panel discussion is part of the Children's Library's Cyber Parents and Digital Natives winter technology series, which explores the role technology plays in the lives of parents and children.
