Festival of Wreaths returns to Darien Nature Center

The Nature Center invites you to its 10th annual Festival of Wreaths and silent auction on Friday, Dec. 9, from 6:30-9:30.

An 18-foot tree, twinkling lights, live music and holiday cheer will serve as the backdrop for the original wreaths, created by local artists and friends. Guests will be able to bid throughout the evening and go home with their favorite wreath.

The 10-year anniversary sponsors are Platinum Wreath: General Atlantic; Gold Wreath: Camilla Dietz Bergeron and Douglas C. Lane & Assoc.; Silver Wreath: Baywater Properties, Nicholas Roberts, Pierson & Smith, a division of First Niagara Risk Management and Ring's End; Bronze Wreath: Darien Bank & Trust, Merrill Lynch, Orchard Tree Care, Rucci, Burnham & Carta, Sharon Rodda & Pat Redican; Ten Twenty Post, Whole Foods Market of Darien and William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty.

A preview of the wreaths will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, from 10-1.

The Friday preview is open to visitors for a nominal fee and refreshments will be served.
