Darien town Christmas tree lighting is Sunday

The 30-plus year tradition kicks off with at 4:30 p.m. with a performance by the Darien High School brass ensemble.

Santa Claus is expected to arrive from the North Pole at 5 to help light the tree that was planted last year to replace the 100-year-old tree that was damaged in the March 2010 nor'easter.
