Darien Police collect coats for less fortunate

The Darien Police Association is collecting clean, gently used coats and jackets to be given to the Darien Chapter of Person-to-Person. Coats of all shapes and sizes are welcome although children's coats are in high demand this season.

This program is a way for you and your family to pass along coats and jackets that you no longer need.

Just bring your used coats and jackets to the Darien Police station at 25 Hecker Ave., from Sunday, Nov. 27, to Saturday, Dec. 3. A drop box will be located in the lobby which is open 24 hours a day. All coats donated will be given to Person-to-Person for distribution to local people in need.

All donations will help Person-to-Person meet the growing need for these items for the upcoming winter season.
