Darien bank hosts ‘About Town’ art show

Darien Rowayton Bank last week opened an art show of works by Darien artist Linda Lyons, "About Town," this new collection of artwork will be on display through the end of November.

The sea and changes of season are Lyons's favorite themes in painting. This collection of new works celebrates favorite local destinations throughout Darien.

A graduate of the School for the Arts at Boston University, she is also an alum of Yale School of Art Summer Program in Design, which was conducted for 21 years in Brissago, Switzerland. Now working toward her masters degree in painting, Linda has recently studied with Robert Alberetti, William Bailey, Robert Berlind, Riley Brewster, Judy Glanzman, Margaret Grimes, Barbara Grossman, Stanley Lewis, Marjorie Portnow and many others.

All works are available for purchase. A percentage of the proceeds goes to The Neuropathy Association, supporting research for the causes and cures for peripheral neuropathy.
