Going 8-2 improvement on 2011 run

Boys Swim-Dive

Darien boys swim-dive defeated Danbury 100-62 to close out the dual meet season at the O’Neil Center of Western Conn. State College on Wednesday.

The Wave surpasses last year’s record improving to 8-2.

“It was a great opportunity to get our younger swimmers some front line experience,” said Darien coach Jason Cochran. “We were able to mix up the lineup and relay combinations as well.”

So that's one goal down, but only the first.

“I told the guys at the end of the season last year that we should always strive to be better, this was the first step,” Cochran said. “Now we need to look to our goals of competing for a state championship.”
