The Wave football team ran away from Danbury 41-6 led by Christian Bognar with three touchdowns at home Saturday.
Darien climbs to 3-1 on the season while Danbury slides to 2-2 overall.
The Wave led 27-0 at the half and held off at the end it appeared, having mercy on the visitors in not looking to run up the score.
Bognar scored on 14, 13 and two-yard runs.
James Bennett and Ian Vanderhorn got in on seven and 41 yard passes respectively from QB Henry Baldwin. And Baldwin finished up with an 11 yard touchdown pass to Kyle Gifford.
Baldwin hit Jackson Whiting with a pass on the PAT.
CJ Rai kicked two PAT points and Daly Hebert one.
Darien goes on the road for two, starting Friday at Trumbull. The Wave then goes to Wilton, followed by a return home for a showdown with first place Staples Oct. 27.
