UPDATE (5:10 p.m.): The cable knocked down earlier today is back up, and the street is open.
UPDATE (3:25 p.m.): The intersection is currently open. The crew will bring in trucks to lift the line, an AT&T fiber optic cable, back into place. The road will be closed temporarily at that time.
UPDATE (3:00 p.m.): Police said that work to restore the line could take up to four hours and the road will be blocked off until then.
Original story: Earlier today, a truck driving north on Post Road hit a power line at the intersection with Corbin Drive. Darien police officers put up caution tape but the loose line fell onto a second truck that was turning right onto Corbin Dr. The line was not hot.
The right-turn lane from Post Road onto Corbin Drive was blocked by police cars but will reopen shortly. A crew from Cablevision freed the truck and will not block the road again until after rush hour according to police reports. There were no power outages reported in the immediate area.
