Post Road underpass flooded Thursday night (Martin Hersam photo)

Thursday night storms caused flash flooding in town, flooding underpasses and some Noroton Heights businesses.

First Selectman Jayme Stevenson told The Darien Times that railroad underpasses were flooded but that the train had subsided. She said Valvala’s Deli and Innovative Invitations on Heights Road might have possibly gotten some flooding in their buildings.

As of 7 p.m., Connecticut Light & Power was reporting no outages in Darien.

The Darien Police Department is reporting some areas impassable but has not confirmed which areas yet. Check back for more info.
