Saint Luke’s Parish invites the public to a presentation, “Putting the Bible Back into the Episcopal Church” by the Rev. Marek Zabriskie on Sunday, Sept. 23, at 9 a.m.
Episcopalians are the best educated Christian group in the United States, ranking higher than any of the more than 20,000 Christian groups and denominations in our country. Despite tradition dating to the formation of the Book of Common Prayer in 1548, today’s Episcopalians rank almost dead last when it comes to biblical literacy.
The number one way to develop in the Christian life is through regular engagement with Scripture. Zabriskie will explore ways that 21st Century Episcopalians can embrace the Bible.
The Rev. Marek Zabriskie is the founder of the Center for Biblical Studies and The Bible Challenge, a ministry that has spread to over 1,000 churches in 15 countries in one year’s time. He is Rector of St. Thomas, Whitemarsh, one of the most dynamic parishes in the Diocese of Pennsylvania.
