Darien completed the season the best way a Darien team could wish to, beating rival New Canaan 80-65 at home on Monday.

“Finished our regular season on a high note beating NC by 15,” said Wave coach Steve Norris. “Victory (was) attributed primarily to dominance in sprints and hurdles. We outscored New Canaan in these six events 40-10.”

Darien goes into next week’s FCIAC Championship meet at Greenwich going 3-6 on the regular season.
