Christopher D. Perez, a former Darienite and current Fairfield resident, died on Aug. 19. He was 27.
Mr. Pereze was born in Sharon on Nov. 19, 1984 to Peg Perez of Darien and Manny Perez of Fairfield.
Mr. Perez was predeceased by his grandparents Jane and Chuck DeVinne of Madison and Molly and Manuel Perez of Newburgh, N.Y.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Perez is survived by his aunt, Kathy DeVinne Reinmund of Boynton Beach, Fla., as well as Manny Perez’s wife, Janet Shaw, and their daughter, Alexandra Shaw.
Mr. Perez attended King-Low Heywood Thomas School and Darien High School. He worked in a drug rehabilitation program as a sober companion from 2003 until 2008.
Mr. Perez’s burial will take place on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 1 at St. Andrew Memorial Garden in Madison.
A memorial service will take place on Monday, Aug. 27 at 11 at St. Lukes Parish in Darien. Swan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
