An undercover Darien Police officer helped arrest a Milford woman who police claim was going to sell the officer $200 worth of cocaine on Monday, July 30.
The undercover officer arranged to buy the drugs from Zita Lyons, 52, in Darien, but the plans changed and the two met at a service station off I-95 in Fairfield. Lyons told police what kind of car she was driving, police said, and Lyons was seen standing next to a car matching that description.
Other officers then moved in to arrest Lyons. While searching Lyons, a white napkin fell out of her right pants leg, police said. Within the napkin was a plastic bag with 2.6 grams of cocaine. Another napkin containing a plastic bag was found within Lyon’s clothes, police said, and it contained 1.4 grams of heroin.
Police arrested Lyons, who later posted a $25,000.00 bond. She has court date on Friday, Aug. 10.
