Darien Police arrested a Stamford man for pushing his wife on two separate occasions this summer. Police responded to the wife’s Post Road home at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, and learned that a verbal argument between the couple had escalated to the point where the man pushed his wife, police said.
While investigating this incident, police learned the man had pushed his wife into a desk in early June. She gave police photographs depicting bruises on her left arm, police said, so officers issued an arrest warrant for both incidents. He faces third degree assault and breach of peace charges.
He turned himself in to police and was later released on a written promise to appear in court on Monday, July 30.
