Darien Police arrested a Hamden man who police claim was caught on a home security camera stealing two
packages from a home on Old King’s Highway South in April.
Police said that Casmore Jones, 26, took the packages from the front door of the home, making off with $112 in goods. Police used a still image extracted from the video and sent it to other law enforcement agencies via the Connecticut Intelligence Center. Norwalk Police identified the man in the picture as Jones, having had arrested him for a similar crime in that city, police said.
Jones’ lawyer advised him to turn himself in to police, but he failed to do so, police said. Officers arrested him when he appeared in Norwalk court on an unrelated matter. Jones faces sixth degree larceny charges. He paid a $500 bond and has court on Monday, July 23.
