A Darien teen was arrested after police responded to reports of kids jumping on cars and yelling obscenities near Sylvan and Birch roads on Saturday, July 7.
When police arrived, the kids ran, police said. One of the teens, Jared Kindy, 18, of Old Oak Road was ordered to halt after police shined a spotlight on him, although he continued to flee.
Police tracked him down and arrested him. Kindy smelled of alcohol, police said, and he told police he was at a party but would not say where. He posted a $1,000 bond and he has court on Tuesday, July 17.
