Darien Police arrested a 16-year-old for throwing his mother across a room, which cut her leg and bruised her, after the two fought over the use of a family car on Sunday, July 1.
The two began arguing over the car when the son “grabbed his mother by the shoulders and flung her across his bedroom where she struck an object in the room causing a laceration to her left leg,” Darien Police Capt. Fred Komm wrote in an email. “She also sustained a bruise to her right upper leg and complained of pain to other parts of her body as well.”
She was taken to Stamford Hospital by Darien EMS-Post 53. The son was released on a promise to appear in court on Tuesday, July 10. He is being charged with second degree assault, a felony.
