Darien Troops 53 and 35  announced the 100th Anniversary of Boy Scouting in Darien in this year’s Memorial Day Parade led by Assistant District Commissioner Chick Scribner

To the Editor:

In recognition of 100 years of Boy Scouting in Darien, the Andrew Shaw Memorial Trust is holding a Centennial Celebrationon Nov. 14 at Wee Burn Country Club from 6:30 to 11 p.m.

The Centennial Celebration will include dinner, dancing, a short centennial program, wine grab, and an exciting silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind items and experiences. We are greatly looking forward to celebrating our first century with the entire community!

Please join us to salute our Scouts and honor the thousands of volunteers who have worked tirelessly over the years to help local boys build character and leadership skills through Darien Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts.

This is a one-time opportunity for past and present volunteers to reconnect and reflect on the fruits of their labor, and for the community to get to know all the faces behind the scenes. We hope you can join us on the 14th and help set the foundation for another century of leadership, service, and community for our boys!

Visit www.darienscouts. org for ticket information and to learn more about Darien Boy Scouting and like us on Facebook at www.facebook. com/DarienScouting and follow us on Twitter at @ DarienScouts. We hope to see you on November 14th!
