The Blue Wave football reunion, originally scheduled for Saturday has been postponed.
“It has been postponed to October,” wrote Wave coach Rob Trifone in an email to the Darien Times Sports Dept. today. “Not sure exactly which date yet — trying to put it on a Friday before a big game.”
Lots of people had wanted to sign up, so it’s only fun deferred.
“We had a lot of interest, but everyone’s tied up with early summer commitments,” added Trifone.
One prime choice is Oct. 25 prior to the Staples game, Trifone indicated.
And former championship-winning Wave coach Mike Sangster is still on stand-by.
“Mike Sangster will still be flying in during the fall!” wrote the current coach.
