Randy Keeley, left, Mark Orr and Lynn Dennis are the newest members of the Calvary Baptist Church leadership.
Members of Calvary Baptist Church on the Post Road have three new shepherds to lead the church into its next phase of service to the community. The church has chosen pastors Mark Orr and Randy Keeley, along with church administrator Lynn Dennis to fill the new leadership roles.
Associate Pastor Mark Orr has served in ministry for more than 35 years and has experience in multiple settings. From 1984 through 2005, he served as the associate pastor for youth and young adult ministries on the staff of Noroton Presbyterian Church.
Prior to attending seminary, Orr served as an area director for young life in Beaver, Penn., and also worked as a drug and alcohol prevention specialist in several school districts. He has completed his course work in preparation for the doctor of ministry degree at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston. Orr and his wife, D.J., have two adult children and live in Norwalk.
Keeley is the executive director of Mission Northeast, a fellowship of over 240 churches in New England and New York. He was ordained in 1983 by the West Oneonta Baptist Church in West Oneonta, NY. Keeley’s wife Kathy continues to play a key role in his ministry, and she works as Keeley’s administrative assistant at Mission Northeast.
Lynn Dennis joins Calvary’s staff as its church administrator. Born and raised in Darien, her career ranges from corporate, entrepreneurial, and state service, having recently retired emeritus from Norwalk Community College where she worked for its presidents Dr. David Levinson and the late Dr. William Schwab. Working with pastors Orr and Keeley, Dennis’s responsibilities include general church operations, and oversight of its buildings, grounds, and parsonage. Dennis lives in Darien with her husband Robert, and they have four adult children and three grandchildren.
